Goals for Success

Since Horizon Honors was founded in 1996, Learn, Believe, Dream, Dare has served as the guiding philosophy behind everything we do. More than a motto, these four words reflect the journey we hope every student experiences. Students are encouraged to learn with curiosity, believe in their unique abilities, dream without limits, and dare to use their knowledge and talents to make a positive impact on the world. For more than 30 years, this simple but powerful message has helped define the Horizon Honors experience and continues to inspire generations of students.

Learn
Students strive to reach their personal best in each of the academic areas, gaining new knowledge and skills while applying them in a real-life setting.

Believe
Students gain confidence in themselves and others through the learning process as demonstrated by their success, recognition of accomplishments, and acceptance of increased responsibilities.

Dream
Students create a vision for the future that provides the foundation for a learning environment where students are challenged to reach beyond their perceived limitations, creating new paradigms for learning and impacting the world.

Dare
The act of applying oneself to make a difference requires a strong sense of character based upon sound values. This will be achieved as students honor and apply the values of:
