2026-2027 Enrollment

• Any K-12 student residing in Arizona not attending Horizon Honors Schools for the 2025-2026 school year.
• Any student on a 2025-2026 Horizon Honors Schools Waitlist.
• Any student attending Pre-Kindergarten at Horizon Honors for the 2025-2026 school year.
  
   

Current Horizon Honors Schools students do NOT need to complete the Enrollment Application Form.

• Horizon Honors Schools are open to all K-12 students residing in Arizona.
• Enrollment is not limited based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, income level, disabling condition, proficiency in the English language, or athletic ability. 
• Kindergarten students must turn 5 years old on or by September 30, 2026.
• 1st Grade students must turn 6 years old on or by August 31, 2026 or have completed a certified Kindergarten program.
• There is no entrance exam. Horizon Honors does not restrict admission on the basis of academic achievement.

• Horizon Honors Schools is NOT first come, first served.
• Only Enrollment Application Forms submitted prior to the Lottery deadline are included in the Lottery.
• Forms submitted after the Lottery deadline are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
   

2026-2027 Enrollment Application Form Lottery Deadline:
December 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM MST

IMPORTANT: We recommend applying before the Lottery deadline. This is your best chance of securing a seat for your child! However, Horizon Honors accepts applications throughout the year.

Our schools expect a high level of parental involvement in the learning process.  In recognition of this commitment, enrollment priority is given to siblings of students currently enrolled if an offer of enrollment is available. 

Priority is also given to students of employees and Horizon Honors School Board members.

At any grade level, if the number of applicants exceeds the number of openings, enrollment is determined by Lottery and waitlist.

Only Enrollment Application Forms completed on or prior to December 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM MST are included in the Lottery pool. To receive the form, please complete the information at the top of this webpage.

Lottery Event:

• The Lottery will be held on December 12, 2025 at 9 a.m. online. It is a computerized, public enrollment lottery.
• During the Lottery process, all students who have submitted applications prior to the Lottery deadline are grouped according to applicable and verified enrollment priorities.
• All families that complete the Enrollment Application Form by the deadline date will receive details on how to attend the Lottery online via Zoom.
• You do NOT need to be present at the lottery to receive a space. There is no enrollment advantage to attending the Lottery virtually.
• Emails with the Lottery results for each applicant and directions on next steps will be sent on December 12, 2025 to the email submitted on the form.

• After the Lottery is completed, there may be waitlists at some grade levels. Families that do not receive an enrollment offer from the lottery will be added to a waitlist.
• Enrollment Application Forms submitted after the Lottery deadline will be added to a waitlist and processed on a first-come, first-served basis, following any applications received prior to the Lottery deadline. 
• Schools will make offers to waitlisted applicants as seats become available. If an enrollment opportunity becomes available, the first student on the waitlist will be contacted. If that student declines the opportunity, the next student on the list will be contacted, etc.
• Students will remain on the waitlist for the entire 2026-2027 school year. 
• After the Lottery deadline, students are placed on the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Students who do not receive an offer of enrollment during the 2026-2027 school year must complete the enrollment process again for the 2027-2028 school year.
