  • Horizon Honors Teachers
  • Horizon Honors Curriculum
  • Regular Student Schedule & Regular School Hours
  • At Home Synchronous Learning
  • Daily attendance required
  • Parent & Student signed agreement required
  • Mental Health Wellness, Coping Strategies, and Resilience Education
  • Student Support Services Provided
  • Students may choose to transition to In-Person Learning at the quarter 

THE ELEMENTARY REMOTE SCHOOL DAY

Before Class Starts:
  • Students will be in Dress Code - no face covering required
  • Students will have a water bottle available
  • Students will prepare their learning space for the school day
  • Students must have their own fully charged internet-connected computer or chromebook with a keyboard, webcam, and microphone. No mobile devices. 

  • Students must have their own printer
  • Student must have their own headphones or earbuds 
  • School supplies and classroom materials needed for the day
During Transitions:
  • Stand up, take a break, use the restroom
  • Prepare for next class
At lunch:
  • Log off
  • Eat lunch and be active

  • At Home Synchronous Learning with Peers via Google Meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays
  • Daily attendance required
  • Parent & Student signed agreement required
  • Mental Health Wellness, Coping Strategies, and Resilience Education
  • Student Support Services Provided
  • Students may choose to transition to In-Person Learning at the quarter 
  • May participate remotely in clubs 
  • May participate in after school Athletics and Extracurricular Activities following safety measures, AIA procedures, and all in-person guidelines.

THE SECONDARY REMOTE SCHOOL DAY

Before Class Starts:
  • Students will be in Dress Code - no face covering required
  • Students will have a water bottle available
  • Students will prepare their learning space for the school day
  • Students must have their own fully charged internet-connected computer or chromebook with a keyboard, webcam, and microphone. No mobile devices. 

  • Students must have their own printer
  • Student must have their own headphones or earbuds 
  • Students must join the first daily block by 7:55 AM. 
During Transitions:
  • Stand up, take a break, use the restroom
  • Prepare for next class
At lunch:
  • Log off
  • Eat lunch and be active 
Student Support:
  • Students may join Student Support remotely on Monday, Wednesday or Friday
  • Other times may be arranged individually by appointment with the teacher
Athletics, Clubs, Extracurriculars, and School Events:
  • Athletics will follow AIA-recommended guidelines.
  • Clubs and Extracurriculars will follow safety guidelines and social distancing as much as feasible.
  • Field trips and travel have been postponed.
  • School events such as assemblies, pep rallies, concerts, etc. will be modified or rescheduled. Virtual events may be held.
